Background/Header Instructions

Backgrounds:

My backgrounds work best if you use Blogger's 'minima' template. First you must sign into to your blog and click on 'design' at the top of the page. Then click on the 'edit html' tab. Scroll down to the very bottom and click ‘select layout template’. Choose ‘minimum’, then ‘save’. Now go back to ‘edit html’ and scroll down (inside the box) to where you see this:

body {
background:$bgcolor;

Change that part of the code to say this:

body {
background:$bgcolor;background-image:url(direct link);background-position: center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed;

Now all you need to do is choose your background and copy the link underneath it and then paste it in your html between the parentheses where it says ‘direct link’. Preview your changes. Once you’ve checked and everything looks good, be sure to save your template. You’re finished!

Headers:

My headers work best if you use Blogger's 'minima' template.
Copy the image code from your desired header. Then you must sign into to your blog and click on 'design' at the top of the page. Then click on the 'edit header'. Choose 'from web' and paste code. Next, be sure you choose placement as 'behind title and description'. Click save!

You can also choose to click on the header image and save it to your computer. Then you can open it in a photo editing software and add your name/logo to it. Then to add it to your blog, you will follow the same above steps, only you'll choose 'from computer'. Next, be sure you choose placement as 'instead of title and description'. Click save!
